Cu greu ne inchipuim un automobil fara geamuri, desi la inceput acestea erau inexistente. Primele masini folosite pe drumurile publice nu aveau nici macar parbriz, nefiind, asadar, vorba despre geamuri laterale sau luneta. Astazi, o masina fara geamuri ar fi un real pericol pentru pasageri. Chiar si masinile decapotabile au geamuri pe toate partile, in asa fel incat sa protejeze pasagerii impotriva prafului, impotriva vantului sau a eventualelor obiecte care zboara prin aer. Dintre toate geamurile automobilului, printre cele mai importante se afla si luneta auto.
Ce este luneta auto?
Luneta este geamul montat in spatele autovehiculului. Rolul sau este multiplu:
  1. Ii ofera soferului vizibilitate prin oglinda retrovizoare;
  2. Este realizata din sticla securizata, permitand evacuarea in siguranta a pasagerilor in caz de accident;
  3. Este un strat de protectie impotriva prafului, a precipitatiilor si a altor pericole;
    4.
